Product Description The Epiphone G-310 SG Electric Guitar is an axe that delivers everything from warm distortion to all-out scream. Crafted with alder body, bolt-on mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay. Also has chrome LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece for more sustain and easier string changing, and LockTone tuners. Limited lifetime warranty.
Amazon.com Product Description Based on the 1967 SG, the Epiphone G-310 has all the SG style and features you want, but with bolt-neck affordability. It also has a full pickguard and sports two hot open-coil Humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls. SG style and features with bolt-neck affordability.
Twin open-coil humbuckers and the industry-standard Tune-O-Matic bridge. | Rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. | Angled Headstock Unlike cheaper designs, all Epiphones feature a 14-degree headstock that gives you more pressure at the nut and so you get more sustain with less tuning hang-ups caused by "string-tree" gadgets. Double-Waxed Pickups Epiphone utilizes a double vacuum waxing process that ensures optimum performance. The pickup is first placed in the specialized wax vacuuming system before the cover is put in place to ensure that the wax fully penetrates to the very center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed on, it is again given a second vacuum wax bath until the unit is completely saturated with wax. Output Jack To increase reliability and ensure consistent performance, Epiphone's proprietary output jacks feature an improved contact shape and heavy-duty spring steel. Toggle Switches All Epiphones feature our all-metal, USA designed switches for reliable contact and longer life. Tunomatic Bridge Fully adjustable, the tunomatic remains a classic after over 50 years. Unlike guitars fitted with tremolos, there are no tuning or re-stringing difficulties. Plus, tone and sustain are improved because all string vibrations are transferred directly to the guitar. Potentiometers Epiphone is passionate about performance. That's why their instruments use one-inch diameter potentiometers for better "throw," longer life and reliable service. Quick-Connectors For unequalled reliability as well as ease of service, Epiphone wiring harnesses feature quick-connectors. Specs - Pickups: Two open-coil humbuckers

INCREDIBLE guitar, low priced! August 27, 2010 olds_cool63 (Maricopa, AZ) This is EASILY the best guitar I've ever owned. The sound was so good for a bolt-on neck. My Epiphone LP-100 is a very close 2nd.
They BOTH beat out the Squier Standard Strat I used to have (which was complete JUNK). Even my old Charvelle Charvette doesn't compare.
The SG-310 is NOT a practice guitar! It can take whatever you throw at it and will survive the road.
Unfortunately, the one I had came with bad electronics so I ended up with the LP-100.
BUT...for the month I had it, it was really a great experience, until the electronics went crazy.
I WILL be buying another one. I actually prefer the 310 over the 400 (which has the set-neck).
Oh, yeah...with 38 years fret time, I'm definitely no newbie.
For the price, this really IS an incredible guitar.
Ya dig?
Nuff said.
Great guitar for the price. July 17, 2009 T. J. Morrison (Ontario, Canada) I played this guitar for about a year. It's a beautiful guitar with a nice glossy finish. It's also nice to be able to control the volume of the pickups separately for cool effects, something most electrics can't do. In terms of playability the frets might be a bit large for total beginners but nevertheless it plays fantastic and sounds great. Well worth your money.
Brilliant Guitar June 21, 2009 MillenniumCD 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this guitar for a little over a year. It is my first electric guitar, and is a great deal for the price. The only problem i've encountered is fret buzz on the low e, though i did correct it by raising the bridge. It's got a great finish, and the sg style really stands out. I also like the double humbuckers with separate volume and tone controls. ive played everything from ACDC to hymns on it. I would definitely recommend this to any beginner looking for a unique, reliable guitar for a low price.
Great Guitar for The Money November 16, 2007 Stephen (Baltimore, USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
For the money that I had paid for this guitar I didn't really expect much. But when it was delivered and I opened the box I was surprised. The finish was absolutely beautiful (ebony). But what good are the looks if it doesn't play well. After tuning it up and tightening the input jack I gave it a whirl. WOW. Though the humbuckers are not as good as on the Gibsons, they held their own. After stretching the stock strings, they didn't go out of tune. I believe that the bolt on neck had plenty of sustain even though the neck is not a set one. I know that the G-310 I bought is an excellent example. If you buy an example like mine, you will have a fine guitar for very little money. Hey, I might buy another!
A great beginner and professional guitar. May 11, 2006 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm not a kid, I forgot my password.
I just got this a few weeks back and i could not stop playing it. Dispite its cheap price, this guitar will rock your world! And if you can't afford or don't attend to buy a $1,000 guitar, like a gibson sg, this is the way to go. Parents won't have to worry about buying an expensive guitar for their young rockers.
Later!
