4 out of 5 stars Awsome birthday gift   February 18, 2010

I bought this guitar for my sons 21st birthday. He has expressed interrest in learning to play the guitar. I picked this one because it looked nice and it came with the cd to learn from. When he opened it the smile, the gasp, and the word "awsome" come out many times. He was very happy with it. I can't wait to hear him play something.

5 out of 5 stars Nice well rounded beginner pack   November 30, 2009

I got this beginner guitar pack because it seemed to have everything I needed to start playing. The guitar looks cool and is easy to play. It also has an amp with distortion. It also comes with a CD-ROM that teaches you how to play. It is more of a rock approach to guitar, including songs by Green Day, Nirvana and Black Sabbath. The program starts off teaching different guitar skills and then teaches a song with those skills. Then it will teach a slightly harder guitar skill and another song. It is laid out very logically. I didn't want to spend too much money because I thought guitar might be hard and I might not stick with it. The amp is fine for now but I will probably get a bigger one if I want to play with my friend who plays drums. I need to get a little better first. This is perfect first start though.
