5 out of 5 stars great for a beginner   March 16, 2010
Angela C. Mcgee (nc)
I got this for my 13 yr. old son he was 12 when I purchassed it. This is awsome for a beginner. Once he got into it more he needed to move on to nicer guitars. He still uses the amp this came with on his new guitar. The only thing negitive about this was the book it came with. It did not help him at all. He is self taught so maby that is why but it never helped him. This is the ONLY bad thing I can say about it! I would pruchass it again for my younger son if he was interested for sure!

1 out of 5 stars DANGER: Frets are sharp as glass   February 28, 2010
Mysixkids
I purchased this electric guitar pack for my 12-year-old daughter. Yesterday, she took her first lesson. While the teacher spent the first few minutes tuning the instrument, he noticed he had small cuts all over his fingers. Then the bad news, "This guitar is dangerous. The frets are as sharp as glass." Talk about turning a child away from the desire to learn the guitar...this was it. And, of course, the last day we could return this item was 2/20/2010. Yesterday was 7 days past that date. Great. Now we are stuck with a guitar that is UNUSABLE. I cannot send it back. I cannot give it away. I guess I will have to throw it away. I have been a faithful Amazon customer for years. This is the first time I have been DEEPLY disappointed with my purchase.

4 out of 5 stars Great price, okay guitar- if you have a little experience   February 9, 2010
Michelle Leigh Lippert (Apex, NC USA)
This was my first guitar- which was probably a mistake on my part. When I first purchased it, I didn't know how to play at all. Tuning was very difficult on the cheap strings that came already on the guitar. However, after taking guitar classes (on an acoustic), I now love both my guitars and find much more ease in playing this item than before. Overall, I love the guitar, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone with absolutely no guitar experience.

1 out of 5 stars Bad product, awesome customer service!   January 19, 2010

I was a little surprised after reading the great reviews to recieve a product that wasn't even usable. The frets on the neck of the guitar stuck out and literally cut the skin on my fingers. Very poor workmanship on this guitar. Maybe I just got a bad one. I do have to say though, the return procedure was a dream. It came with a return pre-paid sticker, and the other information I needed to return was easily found on the website. I packed it up, dropped it off at the UPS store, and got my refund less than a week later. I guess it's worth the chance that you might get a good product if it's that easy to return!

1 out of 5 stars Really bad choice... the guitar is not finished!   January 11, 2010

I bought this guitar for my 9 year old kid. Her teacher told me that this gutar is not fully finished. something about the dressing (really dont know exactly what it is) but now i have to take it to a shop to get it "refinished" because my daughter's fingers were fully cut!!!! The teacher's fingers too! Not all music shop places do that specific finish, so i guess i'm stuck as I threw away the box.
Dont buy this product unless u know how to repair guitars!
