Bought this package for my 11-year-old son. It's perfect. He loves it. The amp was way bigger and better than the packages you find at the big-box stores, or the chains. Good quality, good packaging. Very happy with this purchase.

Honestly, this is the best guitar I've owned and played. This guitar has an Alder body with vintage maple neck and tuners and it sounds fantastic. It's perfect for ANY type of music. It has a neck cushion protects the body from wear and damage making it last for a life time and it has large mushroom shaped strap buttons that never let your strap go. I play punk and I love it, I put a humbucker in the bridge and now I love it even more. I don't know anything about the amp or tanything elese because I only bought the guitar. Buy this guitar, it's perfect for anyone!

The Guitar itself works just fine along with everything that came with it but the shipping was bad and left a piece of the guitar chipped off during the process. If your looking for something only to learn how to play on then its a great buy if your want something flashy to show off then you might not want to take the chance.

I'm a beginner in playing the electric guitar and I decided to purchase Silvertone SS11 guitar and amp pack, Sunburst. When the package arrived I opened it up and took everything out, pluged in the SMART IIIs amp turned it on and it worked. Took out the Silvertone SS11 guitar pluged it into the amp and it worked.
Now bear in mind I am a true beginner, I have never tuned a guitar in my life. I took out the electronic tuner put the batteries in and it worked. Belive it or not I tuned my SS11 with the tuner and it was very easy just follow the instructions..
Everything that came with the pack worked. I am very pleased with the purchase of my Silvertone SS11. The only disapointment I had was that a paper booklet did not come with the instructional DVD. The instructor referes to a book during the lessons.
Other than that...simply awesome....
